Uplifters

Uplifters is a nonprofit charity in Hong Kong that provides online courses such as financial education to domestic helpers. They recently have developed a new baby care course to help employers and domestic helpers to work as a team for baby care.

Content

  • Module 1: Baby’s well-being, hygiene and home environment
  • Module 2: Baby’s development, common risks and safety tips, emergency situations management 

Costs

  • US$99 (~HK$775) for both modules

  • Certificate of completion will be delivered to your domestic worker upon full completion and passing the final online exam with at least 75% correct

  • Module 2: Management of fever, temperature taking, prevention of diaper rash, feeding medicine 
  • Module 3: Sterilization methods, bottle feeding techniques,handling of expressed breast milk, burping techniques

Annerley – The Midwives Clinic

Annerley provides antenatal classes & home visits. Their CPR and first aid course is designed particularly for new parents and helpers in Hong Kong, with additional focus on the most common injuries.

Content

  • CPR – infant, adult, child
  • First Aid – severe bleeding, puncture wounds/minor wounds, fractures, dislocations, sprains, burns, sunburn, heat exhaustion/heat stroke, poisoning, snake bites, head injuries, nose bleeds
